I would like to start another game, 3 players, second highest difficulty. Looks like flomper is in also, so I guess We would need one more player?! |

OK. how about this:

Thinker Level
no blind research
all victory options on
Map: random or the tourney-map that is supposed to be quite fair?
unity scattering
do you want a science game or an aggressive one (depends on the AI as well.) -> AI random or chosen?
no aliens
any thoughts on accelerated start? |

OK, then lets go for a science race game without a lot of the military factions. (aliens, miriam, santiago)
How about:
University, Consiousness, Morgan, Gaia, Peacekeepers, Data Angels, Pirates or Hive?Any preferences who gets to play which faction? Or should I just roll some dice to see who gets which faction? |

Sorry about not getting back to you sooner, I was out of country for the last five days. If the game hasn't started yet is it possible to switch to the Hive? I'm not particularly fond of the Morgans. If not I'll live. Thanks. |

OK, I just reset the game and switched Morgans to Hive. Qualicide should have received two turns, I hope he uses the right one then..

I am assuming that the order of e-mail addresses in your last post is the order of turns. I have redirected the turn sent to me by Q. to Flomper (It was his turn—Pirates—anyway). Please confirm the turn order. Thanks.Are there only 4 players? The AI factions are Gaian and University. That makes six. What's the last faction? |

The turn order should be something like:
Qualicide, Flomper, Illiria, Killjoyabout the 3rd AI. I dont remember..Data Angles probably |

2103 -> Q.We have recieved transmissions from three other surviving factions of the doomed Unity. Unity...Ha! We continue to monitor all frequencies. Have the others survived? Are we alone on this continent, or must we contest it? We must know... Scouting patrols have been immediately dispatched into the surrounding sector. P.S. Do you need a copy of the tournament map file being used for this game to play it smoothly? Just curious, because the unit animation isn't working properly for me now—units jump into the desired square instead of walking? I couldn't locate a tournament map file on apolyton.net.

Thanks Q.I'll send out the turns as quick as I get them, but my set-up is at my studio, not my residence. I'm recieving my turns from illira in the mornings, which I send out before I start to work. One turn a day should be O.K. although I may miss the odd weekend (yes I'm in here on the weekends often). |

2106 to Killjoy.about the PC vs. Mac problem: as stated in the other thread, Brad Oliver (the guy who ported SMAC/X) is working on it, and he has a working version of the SMAX application. This app will read/write the correct save game format, but is not compatible with the current mac format. I would suggest sending an email to bradman@pobox.com and ask for the "beta"... |
