An election for Planetary Govenor has been called by our rival faction leader Sister Illiria. We find the entire process amusing—fledgling communities struggling for political/planetary dominance. It is one of the many 'situations' some would claim we left the Earth to avoid. Yin and Yang. The age old cycle can never change.

Apparently many of Planet's denizens want to make nicey-nice with the new Governor; the result has been an unexpected jump in our technological capacity.

Actually our scout patrol has been trying to get home for the past 10 turns, but couldn't make it through all the fungus. The only other way is past Alpha Prime, and back through the Garland Crater. Our apologies for any undue tensions this may have caused.

But be advised; the Hive does not make 'poor' attempts at anything. You will most definitely know when a Hive 'attempt' is in progress.

Certain factions would also be well advised not to leave their Headquarters completely unguarded. Otherwise friendly neigbhours might have to take it upon themselves to 'defend' it for them.

The Hive respectfully announces the capture and seizure of Alpha Prime, headquarters of the Cybernetic Conciousness, without bloodshed. This necessary action has regretably, but not surprizingly, raised tensions throughout the region.

Diplomatic envoys will be sent to Govenor Flomper and Prime Function Qualicide to attempt to resolve this situation peacefully.

The Hive will continue to seek a means of defusing the current situation without violence, but we remain firm to stand our ground against all aggression—real or otherwise.
