Use your public works. Set your % in the empire manager and wait a few turns to collect enought pw. once you have enough click on tiles and the improvment you want to use. It will turn red if you cant do it or green and you can place it. Right click to cancel.Page 15 on the manual. Davor |

(1) Yes (2) More Obselisks and a higher coverage radius. The most efficient pattern would be hexagonal, but you want to place them on your borders to extend into your rivals's territories. I place them on the borders and then fill in as needed. (3) Max radius = 8 tiles, I think. (with 17+ sattelites). Min radius = 5 tiles (with 10 sattelites, the minimum). I've read that 20 sattelites gives the max radius, so this may be wrong. (4) this is the help section. it's okay not to know all the answers. (5) Yes, they should have done, but they didn't. So they're the fools.

Actually, you can select which plane to unload. Click on the aircraft carrier picture, then pick the plane that you want to launch, and finally click the unload icon. |

You can fix this problem, just do the following after you load the unpatched savegame file:open the network chat window (press ' by default) and type "/reloadslic" without the quotes and press enter.

It wouldn't be hard to make the clients download the map from the server on game-start... I mean, almost every other game works that game when playing online... |

Ah, nanite defuser would be the problem, though I am pretty sure that I still had nuclear plants in the possible builds after I created the defuser. Thanks for the tip...Scott |

well Davor did hit on something...Try renaming the cities you want to trade "A", "A1", "A2" etc. etc. and then you can trade them off. There is a definite problem with that sort of thing which has been discussed in detail lately. ------------------ Civilization Gaming Network Forums ~ The Apolyton Yearbook ~ The poster formerly known as "OrangeSfwr" |

Yes, this would work if it were in alphabetical order, but the list is in chronological order. Almost all the cities on the list are my own created ones, or if not, then are central to my empire. The new ones I have conquered, after years of bombing and missile bombardment, are small, insignificant and mostly long distances from my empire, and in the middle of enemy territory, so getting rid of them is an advantage anyway, until I can build up a stronger military to hold onto them. I can't disband them because they are too large; I have toyed with the idea of starving them to death until they reach size 3, but they are too valuable a bargaining tool for me to do that. |

I've had problems unloading aircraft if the carrier is not the only ship in that tile. I had to move the carrier to another tile, then unload. Don't know why. This is the case even if the carrier and the other ship are not part of the same 'army' (or fleet or task force or whatever). |

Thanks Davor, sounds simple. I did have a percentage set and obviously had enough since the mayors had no problem using it. I did read that and thought that's what I did, to no avail. I will try again armed with better knowledge. RAH And it was real funny/frustrating knowing i had all of the potential stored up unused, and would run across AI's that had no problems. So I just took their cities. [This message has been edited by rah (edited January 02, 2001).]

I used to have this problem too, albeit, not with ships but other units that overlayed with each other. Anyhow, I think what you need to do is select the group of ships (doesn't matter who's on top), then select the Unit tab at the bottom of the screen, and then, click the unit name box to pick which unit to activate or use the arrows.

"CTRL-g" is printed on the back cover of the CTP II manual listing keyboard shortcut keys.Like everyone else, I was trying to figure out the science victory. Just for added info, in my game I built 37 satellites and 46 obelisks (on a large map) and still only got an effective radius of 8 from the obelisks. I trtied building more than 10 controllers but the game only recognizes the first 10 and the extras don't seem to help. You can put obelisks, just as with any other public work, in any ALLIED territory as well as your own. I "discovered" that late in the game, and would have been helpful building my road networks seeing as I had 2 Allies. |
