I believe that somewhere in the last four pages of gratuitous silliness it was mentioned that a hex, (even a square one) takes up several miles, maybe even several hundred miles. A mountain city, therefore need not be protrayed as teetering precariously on the pinnacle, but more likely in a valley. The valley, as in the city of Kelowna, British Columbia, is high abouve sea level, definitely on a mountain hex. And worse, it has a river running through it. All you mathematical warmakers, give me the figures, and I'll send a note to the mayor of Kelowna letting him know what his odds are with pikemen against Armour. Unfortunately, Kelowna doesn't have walls. On the other hand, it's a Democracy, so you can't incite revolt there. Jim W |

About 4.6% for non-veteran armor and non-veteran pikemen, .007% against veteran armor with non-veteran pikemen, 52.2% for non-veteran armor against veteran pikemen, and 6.1% for veteran armor attacking veteran pikemen. |

Horse, you dead yet? You guys have flogged this thread for 5 pages!!!! i couldn't even be bothered to finish reading the 1st, before i skipped to the last one!??! I've personally never built a mountain city, but i don't have a problem with it!!! You're worse than my brother!!! he argues just to piss me off! I bet you secretly like mountain cities, and you're just bored!! Someone said it on page 1, plain as day!!! if you don't like it, don't play. or better still if they do it, obliterate their whole god damn civilization, and just leave them with the mountain city and see how they do with that?!?! |

Well Oldman... you are correct. This subject has been beaten into the ground. And, since there is a new rule limiting threads to 150 posts, it's time to put this spam fest to rest for good. So on that note...Case Closed! ------------------ Ming CivII & Off-Topic Forum Moderator Ming@Apolyton.net |
