yah, and if they don't tell us the date when they'll announce the date, then you will go on asking when they will announce the date when they will announce the date when they will announce the date..... And eventually they will announce that tomorrow they will announce the date when they will announce the date when they will announce the date..... And every day they will announce that tomorrow they will announce the next date until the day comes. I think I like it better not knowing when they will update the site and talk about other things. Then when they do update the site get all excited and start critisizing the stuff they put up there this time . |

Airdrik, did I read a note of cynicism in your last post or was it just me reading to much into it?

Maybe. Some people turn arround and critisize their work, while others praise it. Of course if everybody praised everything that came out, it would never be improoved upon because no one would find anything wrong with it. |

Getting back to Airdrik's comment - Sorry but Earthlink decided to take a nose-drive, so I was without DSL service for the past 5 hours! .... Good point - But you have to admit that in the deepest, darkest corner of your mind, your hopeing for a flawless CIV3 being released...I admit that I have that fragile hope. After all, isn't that why we are all in this Forum? That being said, you are right about your main point - if the game does have flaws, there will be a roar from this forum. I don't know, maybe I'm a little more optimistic than pessimistic concerning a new release spearheaded by Sid and Crew. |

We have Budgies in the Great White North, so I don't think they're just Australian. Although it might not be the same thing. A mickey up here is a small bottle that will fit in a back pocket or boot. That is not what it means in Oz... |

From "the Adrenaline Vault"(link on Apolyton's civ3-site): quote:
Infogrames has announced a tentative release date for what promises to be one of the most anticipated releases of 2001: Firaxis Games' Civilization III. According to an updated release list the publisher sent the Adrenaline Vault, the title is slated for Quarter 4 2001, in time for the Christmas shopping season. The promotional machine on this title should be fired up around E3, so watch for the first tangible details and images to start appearing in a few months.

A budgerigar (sp.?) or budgie is a small bird that lots of Aussies keep as pets. ------------------ - MKL ... So a mickey is a flask then? But what does a flask have to do with a small bird used as a house pet? |

Isn't this thread supposed to be about the release date? Why are we talking about budgies and mickeys?------------------ "We don't know a millionth of one percent about anything." -Thomas A. Edison |

I think the budgie got into the mickey and that's why its flying around in circles. And they put calendars down instead of newspaper so when the budgie lands we'll know the next release date (assuming it lands before said date and actually on a calendar).
