Yes, I would also like to know if Firaxis is either working very long hours on Civilization III, or if they intend to update the site SOON. |

Markos, what are you talking about? Why wouldn't a Firaxis staff member be able to work on the Civilization III site when they're not working on the game itself? And one more question - don't your eyes EVER get tired when they roll like that constantly? |

Well, I wouldn't say that's my *ONLY* job =), but it certainly is one of my highest priorities. The quick answer is that we have an update in the works, please be patient. Thanks, Dan

I suppose this placates me temporarily, though I hope it will not be "real soon" like with the civ3 website, which didn't appear for three months after the comment. Dan, I hope you read my thread "The most urgent question for Firaxis". It will show you what people are most concerned about regarding the game. |

Allow me to make a prediction. So far everything new was either released by Firaxis on monday or friday. This coming friday will be exactly 4 weeks (1 month) after their last update of the site. They said they will answer "a few questions every month".Therefore, I predict the next update will come on this friday. |

Yeah, site was released on a monday and first update on a friday. What more has there been? Too bad you can only release something once I see some problems in this logic, but it sure was funny to mee quote:

Well, that I do think is a quite good guess. I'm also waiting for friday.

There was one other release, but I don't remember on what day the 3 units were revealed... Wait! I'll check. Now let me open another browser... it was on a wednesday (12/20 First Civ III units revealed) Well, anyway, I'll be looking forward to an update (which is in the works ) this Friday. Let's see.

My theory does not work! It was actually based on the pattern in which Activision released information about CTP2. Still, friday is the best bet. |

I have a suggestion to you folks: Several months ago, as you all know, the Civ III section on Apolyton was updated with giant intervals of time. Once I discovered it, I used to check the site every day, but got frustrated and decided to resist checking for a long time, and then come back with many new stuff. I suggest we forget the official website for a while. |

I suppose, the last update was also on the 19th. However, I agree with badger - Monday evening is the last time I am checking the Firaxis website. From then on I will only ever check on Mondays and Fridays. |

I predict that it will rain.Civ III will involve cities and units. Err...great advances will be made during the game. Umm...only one nation can win, unless they ally to form a joint victory. Firaxis will not shelve this game to work on other projects. |

Of course, it's entirely possible that they have no updates yet. I mean, how often can you say, "Nothing new to report", or "We're working *really* hard on it" before you're just wasting your time. However, since the webmaster of Firaxis seems to visit here occasionally, I have a request. Juno (the lovely and really and truly free internet service /end sarcasm) will not allow me to email you guys through your link on the site. Is there anyway you could include a message board like this one? Marc /me assumes the lotus position and begins to wait patiently, greatful that no one here knows me, thereby realizing *just* how unlikely this action is.... Marc |
