Perhaps you could have a generals system in Civ3? ie. a green unit has a green general who gives no benefits. But if you build a barracks or Sun Tzu's then units trained afterwards will have a say level 2 general as well. General system: Lev1: Green. Lev2: Plus one firepower (or hp, whatever you choose) Lev3: Plus one (the other one that you didn't pick) So you won't be able to beat a legion with a warrior or a riflemen with a howizter but if you verse them with a phalanx or a alpine troop, they have a much better chance. |
