Hi,
There should be a reward for the first civ that achieves some break-trough.
I can think at one obvious example:
First civ that sails around the world should get +1 extra movement for ships.
How about other first times?

You mean like the Feats of wonder in CtP2?Sure, why not? Just that the idea is already being used in that game.
