This is a pretty cool idea. Armor, tanks, whatever, are not just one. There are tons of different types of them. Some depend on speed, some defense, and some are more attack oriented. My suggestion is to have the advance that brings tanks into play allow you to produce three different tanks. The attack oriented tank, or Attack Armor, is one. It has great attack, but it's defense and speed are lacking, but still high enough the outpace the Artillary and Howitzers. The Defense tank, or Armored Armor, is very slow and pretty weak on the attack. It balances this out with a lower cost than the other armor units and a very high defense, making it an excellent city defended. One weakness, it's defense is lowered by 50% when attacked by an air unit. SAMs can pretty much take that out, though. The speedy tank, or Scout Armor, is has low attack ad defense, but super speed. It is an excellent way to explore those annoying places you can't explore due to a 'treaty', since you can slip in, explore, slip out again. Sure, it doesn't bring in much map info, but it can always find you a city site in the middle of that opponent's territory.------------------ Civmew2, a Civingpsy Pokemon. This is not necessary if a unit design workshop is available. |

A unit workshop is one of the most important thing to implement into Civ III. It would raise the game fourfolds. Just look at SMAC it is a great asset with the workshop, but it could be constructed in a different way. So hopefully we could get a workshop, or? |

I would even venture to say that if Sid is sane, he will put a unit design workshop inb Civ 3 |

If there isn't a unit workshop in Civ 3, there will either have to be many units (100 and up) or the game will be lampooned. | |
