OK, EVERYONE. THIS GOES TO ANYONE THAT CAN HELP ME A LITTLE. I HAVE CTP 1. LATELY I HAVE BEEN EXPERIMENTING WITH MODIFICATIONS. MORE SPECIFICALLY UNIT MOD. WELL FOR EXAMPLE. THE SETTLERS SHIELD COST IS 540. TO EXPERIMENT I CHANGED IT TO 1. WELL I THEN SAVED . THEN PROCEEDED TO A NEW GAME OF CTP. ONLY TO FIND THAT THE SETTLER STILL COSTED 540 GOLD. WHY IS THIS AND WHAT AM I DOING WRONG. ONE MORE QUESTION. I BACK UP MY FILES WHEN BEFORE I EDIT ANYTHING IN THEM. SO WHEN I CUT AND PASTE. SHOULD I LEAVE THE ORIGINAL UNEDITED FILE IN THE SAME FOLDER THAT THE EDITED FILE IS. ANYHELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS
