I recently upgraded my computer by installing new CD-ROM player, DirectX 8, and new Windows Media Player. For some reason, now when I play CTP, the background music won't play during the game (although the sound effects work fine). I tried re-installing, and it still gives me the same problem.Incidentally, the background music DOES play during the install process. Go figure. Any ideas on how to fix this? The game just isn't the same without hearing the music. Thanks. - Steve |

The problem might be with the cd-rom drive since it plays the music from the cd. Have you tried playing a normal cd on your computer to see if it works. If it doesn't work than that's where the problem lies. ------------------ Gemini |

Thanks for the suggestion. That doesn't seem to be the problem, because normal Audio cd's work in the drive. Also, I can play the music tracks from the CTP game cd through Windows Media Player. So it sounds like a problem from the game itself (or maybe my DirectX or some setting for the CD ROM controller or something). | |
