I'd like to start off saying thanks for your help Wes and also say thanks to everyone else for their work and aid. I don't think i could have installed it correctly without everyone's help.

A technical problem. By installing the 'large civs' zip in your med mod i understand that i made my scenario in original design "obsolete".
This is what i gather because now that i try opening it it gives me instead a randomied world. I had a world map fully edited and all. Is there a way to convert the savegame.csg to this new format?
I would not mind to just leave it as it is if someone can reccomend a good europe and world map, that takes full advantage of 4.0.4.1. terrain and is compatible with my current CTP 'large' config.
BTW, what is the difference between the flat map, standard, large and 4.0.4.1 beta scenarios? I don't quite get it.

On another matter i'm somewhat confused by the posts in the forum. Some say that the new trade goods 1.4 is included in your mod 4.0.4.1 (or the prev 4.03 for that matter) some say that it was included but it had to be installed separately, and some others say that it is not compatible at all your mod.
Who's right then?

Finally, do you know if the 16th century musketeers and the heavy cavalry mods compatible with the MedMod fianl version. Have you heard of any conflicts/errors ?

Please enlighten me.

thanks to everyone in this forum for all your support!

Well im not WesW but u can load a world/ europe map using the 4.0.4.1 mod. The CTP Map link on front page of Apolyton site takes u to everything u want to know about maps. It also has many different maps to choose from. I am playing a game on 70x140 world map. Used the option to load a map from chat window. Then saved it as a save game. U will have to place the goods/starting units yourself, but its not hard to do. Think there is a way to save it as scenario under Med Mod 4 but not sure how yet. Also might want to change city distance unhappiness and movement values for the bigger maps. All the files to change are .txt so not hard to do also.

P.S. Skorpion59 and everyone else who helped make up the CTP Maps page, major thanks.

I would echo what Milkman said. Maps is one area I don't know much about, unfortunately. I believe that Don wrote up an excellent, step-by-step readme for these situations.

A modified version of Nordicus' trade goods mod is included in the Med pack. It uses all but a couple of the new goods, and their values are toned down a lot from the original ones. These values are laid out in the terrain page of the Med charts.
If you try and install the original mod over the med pack files, it won't work. If you want to use the original trade goods mod values, you can go into the terrain.txt and modifiy the values yourself.

The heavy cavalry unit is already in the med pack as the Javelin Cavalry. The 16th century Musketeer is in as the Arquebusier, I believe.

If u dont want to go through all the .txt files try downloading the Easymod2.5 program from here. Automatically pulls all the info from units, goverments, terrain, wonders, and city improvements .txt's and shows them in very easy to see windows format. Makes modifying these game stats a absolute breeze. Only problem i had was it didnt recognize the scenario intro for MedMod4. Had to copy n paste the scenario intro from MedMod3 to 4.0 dir. Save the 4.0 scenario intro in another directory. Then when done modifying files to what u want, replace the 4.0 scenario intro file in correct spot.
