There seems to be a random problem, usually occurs in a multiplayer game (IPX). When I am playing after a short while (sometime around Philosophy) there are no more advances to research. I don't have any research options at all. It isn't the same, even in the same scenario so it's not directly the tech-tree. Any ideas? I have not seen this problem in single player.

is there any fix or way to prevent this??
coz it's getting very annoying after u start the game for 5 hours and u have to restart again!!!

This has been brought up a number of times here but, as far as I know, no explanation or fix has ever been found.

Looks like a good thing for Activision to check during beta testing.
