I am at peace with the Mexicans.
They pirate one of my trade routes.
I see them do it.
I sink the ship concerned.
The game claims that I am breaking the peace treaty.......

I am at peace again.
I pirate their trade route.
According to diplomacy, we are now at war.

Sauce for the goose, should be sauce for the gander.

(Playing 1.2 on Linux).

Yes, that seems odd to me. I have pirated trade routes and NOT gone to war with the Civ that I pirated. But I'm not running under Linux. Do you always go to war when you pirate? If so, it sounds like a bug to me.
