Got mine today at the Babbages, University Mall, Carbondale IL.

One thing I noticed right away in the box was the back of the tech poster. It, unlike the SMAC poster, has a REEEEEEEaly nice chart for units, wonders, terrain, terrain improvements, even governments and city improvements!!!! Kudos to Activision. Well, I'm off to conquer the world and make it safe for Irish (as Michael Collins, a somewhat better leader I think) citizens.

Ta!

I called up EBWorld.com to day and they said that they would get the shipments this afternoon (March 31) and it would take 2-3 buesness days for it to get to my house... So I'm guessing Satureday or, err, Monday (if the mail service they're using doesn't work on Good Friday).

Got it! Best Buy; Orlando Florida, Colonial Drive (State Road E. 50) Just make sure you EXCEED the minimum requirements. I ran the game on a P150 with 32M of RAM and while the game ran it was still slooowwwww. I reckon you need at least 200MHz with 64M to have the game run well, although a response by Danniel Frappier said his worked fine on 166MMX with 32. MAYBE ITS JUST IBM!!!

"Sweetness!"

I am running the game on a Pentium 133 (Althought CTP recognized it as a 200) w/64 Megs of Ram, 4 Meg Video Card and 32x CD-ROM.
It took a good 5-8 minutes to install. It's not real slow, but the 'Loading' screens are noticeable.

Am I the only one who has noticed that people with 64M of RAM r over say it runs fine and 32M of RAM people complain? I REALLY hope that's not the case...

No NoneGiven, uninstall the game and reinstall it if you said yes. There stands is your system better than this (or something like that) and if you said yes, then he installed a version that is graphically a bit better but slower of course. You gotta unistall it and reinstall, then say no and it will be faster.

Ata

P.S.: Hope you read this

Ata,

If I understand you correctly the only difference between Yes and no when installing the game is graphics quality? I was really wondering what the difference would be, and I wish Acitivision had included more info at that juncture when installing.

Oh well, I answered honestly and I'm happy with the game. Just curious is all.

Rob,

Well, I installed the better version first because I misclicked yes. The graphics were better, the fonts were better (I dont know if the resolution was higher too, but I think it was).
Then I installed the other version, now the games is a lot faster even though it takes still some time, but the font is a bit more unreadable, the Res is lower (I think)... (sadly that I have only 32 Megs Ram, will have to buy some. But the problem is: Do I have to buy 100 Mhz RAM or 60 Mhz for my P200, can I put SD-RAM into or does it have to be old EDO arghhhhh!!!).
