The food issue needs to be corrected. I mean, there is absolutely no use making expensive farms. First type of farms or none is quite sufficient to supply a city. I mean, ok so food doesn´t have much with city growths in a more modern day, but earlier on all settlements were chosen by this quality. So maybe halve the food production from all tiles in average and some even more.
What do you others think about this ?

What about making the population growth dependent on the living condition (factors like happiness, buildings like aqueduct, techs like medicine)? This would reflect the problem of feeding the population which exists till today.
