I'm not big on scenarios, but I took a look at that Alexander map, and I love it.How can I play a normal game on it? I can't seem to figure it out. |

i think this will work - load the scenario - go the editor(cheat mode) - save the map(from the "save map" button ) - exit the editor and the scenario - go to new game - launch the editor - load the map(now you should have a clean state with no extra slic or whatever) - put your settings for the starting places, etc - save as scenario(my guess it that if you save it under the alexander scenario pack you will also have the same units, etc) - you should be donebtw, moving to ct2-creation |

Like Daddycool, I think the Alexander map is awesome, and wanted to use it in other scenarios.Mark, I followed the instructions you gave, and loading the saved map creates a page fault and stack dump and crashes the game to the desktop. I thought that it might be due to the Alexander map's unique size [in the Const. file in the scenario folder, "gigantic" map size is redefined for the scenario], but even after changing my basic Const. settings to match I crash every time. Has anyone been able to successfully save and load the Alexander scenario map? |
