How do I get freeciv to work with widows, for free? Yes I looked around at http://www.freeciv.org , and I looked at the windows page, but I really don't understand what it says. I know I need ether a X-something-or-other or get Linux, and I have no idea how to do ether of those (and for free)

Take a look at Mark von Wagner's post in the "So, who here plays FreeCiv?" thread. That should help you out a bit, although I think you would still be best off by getting Linux and running Freeciv in its native enviroment.
Once you try Linux, you'll never wan't to go back to that windoze crap.
