Hi, I am seeing a weird problem with passwords on multiuser games. It happens when I start a multiuser game on one computer in "hot seat" mode then move to another computer to continue the game via email. This happened to me once and I couldn't open the game up. Then I went back to the original computer and I had the right password all along, but it was just not working on that other computer. This seems to be happening again to my brother, he started a game with me here and then I emailed it to him to follow up, and he seems to be locked out. Is it possible that this has something to do with working across versions (I upgraded to 1.5, but he hasn't) or something related to Multiple Users in OS 9? (I have been experiencing a fair amount of flakiness with the "login" application). Has anyone else had a similar experience? I haven't seen mention of it before so I thought that first time was just an anomoly and was going to let it go until this happened. *flomper* |

Tell your brother to update his SMAC to at least version 1.4.1, preferably 1.5.The initial 1.4 release didn't work properly with password-protected games. This was fixed starting with 1.4.1. Brad |
