Sorry to bother all you pro's but this neopjhyte is totally confused on trying to use the larger maps like the 210 X 210 ones made by Omni.

Here is what I have done using Omni's Italy map as an example:

Downloaded the zip file
Expanded the file into cpt2_program\cpt\save\maps
Modified the const text file to 210 210 2 for gigantic
Started cpt2
Started a new game using a regular size map
Went into cheat mode to open the editor
Tried to load the italy map

Computer freezes up every time

I have a Pentium II 450, 128 meg ram running Windows ME 800 MB free space on my hard drive

Also tried using the map txt file but got an error message.

I must be doing something wrong but I'm too dense to figure it out. Can anyone help?

Okay, when using the txt file how do you import it? The proper method is to extract the txt file to the ctp2_program/ctp2 folder enter the editor, open the chatbox and type /importmap omni_italy.txt. This will then load the map and you should have no problems... hopefully this helps.
