i know the problem isnt my internet service provider. my friend uses aol (as do i) and he can join the lobby, so what might b the problem for me? i need multiplayer in my life... this sucks...

If you look thru the CTP2:Multiplayer postings, you will see this has turned into a common problem The only certain solution is to get a copy of the servers.dat file from a CTP2 gamer who has made it into the lobby. It is a small(50K) file and should be easily attached to an email. I do not have CTP2 yet, I will in a week or so, but have bacame familiar with this problem in CTP1. I have suggested this solution throughout this forum, and have found it to work almost every time. You will have to find another gamer to send you the file.
