I'm in the year 2212 and I still have to reseach 12 technologies. It's taking me about 10 turns for each tech. So I was wondering If I should start over by loading a previous save game, or keep going. I want to win by science so It would be really hard to do this now.

Starting over from a previous saved game might not help unless there is something specific that you know you didn't do. Such as build the Internet wonder earlier, etc.

Alternatively, you could try specializing in all your cities with a few scientists and see if that cranks up the ol' science output. Don't forget to set wages as low as possible. (sacrifice something else but make sure everyone get paid minimum wage!)
