Author Topic:   A research pact is great if you can get one Dragon Settler Marlboro, MA USA Jun 99 posted November 24, 2000 08:24         In my second game I got a research pact with the Turks, who were on a different contient. The effect was that they would trade techs whenever I asked. When had no tech to trade, they would trade for gold, but later they asked for nothing. The net effect was to double my science rate. At the end of the game they accepted an alliance and I won a diplomatic victory. I wouldn't have wanted to fight against them! The game ended in the 1600s with almost all the tech tree researched.
