Since each pop. point is 10,000 people, How many Soldiers are there in one unit?

The population numbers in CTP are totally buggered. They should be multiplied by 10 for the renaissance age and by 100 for the modern age (depends on map size though also) and even this will probably give populations that are too small.

Unit sizes are a bity hazy - depends on how detailed your map is and what kind of unit it is.
I always think of a unit as a battalion and a stack as a division.
some historical numbers:
* a batallion could be anywhere between 300 and 1,500 men.
* in WW2 a division was between 12,000 and 25,000 men
* panzer divisions had 2,400 tanks

so based on this, about 1000 for foot-solderies (hoplite/archer/infantrymen) and 200 for mounted (mtd archer/knights/cavalry/tanks).

things like catapults and cannon would have a much smaller crew. Let's say 10 cannon with a crew of 3 men per cannon.

Of course non of this really makes any difference in game terms but it's nice to visualise what's going on sometimes.

It is very important when constructing a scenario that you want to reflect history to bear all this in mind.

since settlers take 1 pop point from your city they have 10000 people in them
