Has anyone ever been able to get past 500 in city pop? You get points for it, but to me, it seems impossible, or isn't it?------------------

That's a relieve . Is it in any way possible to get past 500, or is there a limit hidden somewhere? |

It is theoretically possible. There is no hard cap on city pop. But the probability of it happening is pretty slim, and it may actually never occur. The scoring system handles it, just in case it does happen. Pyaray |

i made a 180 size city in the senario editor but even that couldn't have enough food even after i surrounded it with advanced farms. so 500 is a wee bit impossible.------------------ " mind over body " |

The limit is 52 or 62, I don't remember exactly. When you reach this limit pop growth fall to zero. Don't bother with that, I have a solution! Play civII! It is infinitely a better balanced game in all areas. |

The civ games I play(ed) are CTP and CTP2. Now, should I buy CivII, or wait till the Medieval Mod gets less buggy and CivIII comes out? Or should I buyt SMAC? |

In CtP I, my biggest city was 108, and I believe here you can always boost growth by creating Famers in the city.------------------ Solver - http://www.aok.20m.com |

I have checked it. The exact city size limit in CTPII is 60. As soon as you reach this number the growth rate is blocked to zero whatever the growth rate you had. Observe that you can set the city size beyond 60 with the scenario editor but always with no growth even if you put farms in all tiles.Floris O, quote:

I don't know, as ctp player you may find CivII a little bit rustic! Try SMAC if you like science-fi, you should not be disappointed. |
