I downloaded the patch back when it was first released but I haven't installed it because I haven't finished my first game yet(!)

My question: has anyone noticed if, after installing the patch, the time between turns is shorter or if the time it takes to Quit the game is shorter? The length of time between turns for my current game (8 civs, Huge map) is unbelievably long and that's at least part of the reason I'm still in my first game. I literally keep a book at my side and read between turns. I just built GlobeSat and think that I may now actually have time to write a book between turns! I also find it quicker to reboot my computer than wait for the program to shut down. Someone on this forum said that this was indicative of a "memory leak," a thing about which I know nothing. Just wondering if the patch has helped with either problem.
