Topic: Did Apolyton get a preview copy? |  |

It seems strange to me that all these sites have a preview copy of CTP2 and the biggest site about civ did not get one. Is Apolyton going to get a copy before it comes out? Or maybe you guys have a copy already and are not allowed to tell us yet?  |

i find it hard to believe that they didnt give you guys a copy - esp after all the free advertising your site does for them 
not good activision - not good
is their a reason? is activison afraid of finding out the truth - bwahaha!(i dont know if i beleive you or not mark - well, you have to admit from our point of view, it does seem kind of odd given your situation - but i'll take your word for it ) |

Save the best till last.ie give the best copies to the best reviewers. The best copies will be when it goes Gold |

actually, i think the kind of preview that we did with ctp1(and the ctp2 one will probably be similar) is the best: it's extensive like a review, and it comes out before or the first days of the release. the first means that we will have more details about the game than the "proffessional" reviews and on the right time. besides, the differences between the preview version and the gold one will only be for the better |

Yikes! You mean your geting the first CD after they Print they burn the "Gold CD??? hey as long as its the same game we get!
(wonders how long it will be befor we see a Med-mod for CTP2!) |

As much as I wouldn't support the idea, it's true that Apolyton would be the best place to generate a review or preview of any civ type of game. I mean we all know Civ, but how do we know what those reviewers out there know civ the way we do?Would you rather have a Quake addict review civ, or a Quake Addict review Quake 3? Works the same way with reviewing civ. |

I just wanted to say that I do support the idea of Apolyton getting the chance to p/review, I just feel that not too much info should be given out, etc. - That's what I don't support. |
