I don't really understand all the financial stuff. What's the significance of this news for lay people like me?

They did quite well. The significance for you, I guess they'll keep making the type of games they've been making since the restructuring. Tony Hawk, Vampire, with a general trend toward the consule. However, Hasbro came out with bad financial news, led by their software unit, whose to say the consumer aint king |

Not only does it mean that Activision did very well, but it shows that they look like they will be able to continue doing well and producing great games. It also means they are making a ton of profit off of all of us, but I'm not complaining.------------------ "In war, there is no substitute for victory." - Douglas MacArthur |

For lack of a better place to put this question...As cities grow in CTP2 they encompass more and more land. Okay. The first city to claim a piece of land gets it - there is no land management. Fine. What happens when a city shrinks, either from starvation or war? Does the city's radius shrink as well? ------------------ The Electronic Hobbit |

Good question! I haven't read about something like that, but it seems logical to me that THAT wont happen! (what the CTP2-team think is another case) ------------------ Who am I? What am I? do we need Civ? YES!! |

Yes, the city's radius does decrease if your city starves or has been attacked repeatedly. Make sure you have enough food for your people! You can also assign Farmers to help boost food production. Post sentries at your borders to protect against attacks. Blah blah general strategy blah.

Thank you for the info. Now I know the loophole in the city radius scheme. If I want to reassign a square to another city then I starve the current owner. Aren't I mean?------------------ The Electronic Hobbit |

Hi Meriadoc,Wouldn't be nicer just to rush build a few settlers and use them to found new cities? :-) Timothy Pintello |
