Most of the PBEMs use modified starts with multiple units that have increased movement for a number of turns. This allows for a more interesting start to the game, as you do not have to wait 40-50 turns to get into the action, and it allows settlers to establish cities on decent terrain. One of the things that I have noticed is that the players who start the game usually have an advantage, because they can grab a bigger share of goody huts with these enhanced units. Would it be possible if there was an option in CTP2 to turn on or off the goody huts, as this will allow for a more level playing field for all players? |

This brings up another point which is not totally unrelated. In MP (and single player for that matter), the host usually gets the best land. It's not a big complaint, but maybe it should be addressed? |

Sure, I know the problem and I didn't find a real solution. May be we could have something like: first player: enhanced unit: MP+7 other players: enhanced unit: MP+10What do you thing ? I'm working for a pbem accelerate start for Medieval Mod 4.0 [This message has been edited by slamp (edited October 03, 2000).] | |
