Well, in the thread "Have you ever played to the bitter end" it talks about get destroyed. As the topic suggests, how would you rather go?
A) Full-scale nuclear war
B) Barbarians
C) Large, multi-front war

This is going to be the first time." I usually don't stick around for the bitter end. It's a game! If you have no chance to win, start over. Even someone with low self-esteem would be hard pressed to enjoy getting whomped. Remember the basic rule: "If you are not having fun, it isn't a game." However "serious" you have to be, however hard you have to concentrate, the idea is to enjoy the challenge. Of the four choices, the only losses I've had have been B and D. The "other" is when I get jumped early by another civ. Once in a while, the barbs will weaken me enough before writing (with its diplo to buy barbs), for me to go down. Elsewise, I play on until I see I'm WAY too far behind or until the end, with or without an actual victory. |

do i even need to say i'd rather go down in a massive nuke war  . but that's never happened. every time i lose in either sp or mp, its cause someone managed to land a spaceship before i manage to f@#k up his capital.
