Actually, I think that is one of the challanges... build no wonders except Apollo... and one of the easier challanges at that  |

Thanks, I should have looked in the GLoA first. I'm looking for ways to get into the type of arms races and cold wars that have proved to be so important in world history for technological advance. In real history a status quo has often proved to be the source of 'progress'. No spaceflight without a cold war. The only thing in the game stimulating this is the disadvantage of getting 'superior'.

What about a version where there are no "Global" wonders (except Manhattan Project).That is, only allow "city" based wonders i.e. Colossus, King Richard's Crusade, Copernicus' Observatory, Shakespeare's Theatre, Isaac Newton's College, Darwin's Voyage, and Manhattan Project and so set the prerequisite for all other Wonders to no, (However, such a change might favour players of OCC) [This message has been edited by Kestrel (edited October 24, 2000).]
