Congrats! That has got to be the most wonders built in an OCC game.

Were your opponents so close that you needed SETI and Hoover Dam?? It seems like you were progressing enough to just build a Research Lab and a power plant.

No its not supposed to be easy but it is(relatively speaking). The concept seems very difficult indeed but the fact that you are puny and weak all game seems to confuse the game.By the time it figures out you are gonna win its usually too late.

That and all the ground work done by the "founding fathers".

It kind of depends on the Scenario, I'm playing Toms occ15, where you're right next door to the romans, and they're aggressive sods!!!

But the question is Ribannah, which difficulty setting are you on? i didn't see you mention it on your log, maybe i just missed it...

Well done Ribannah - it may not be easy, but it sure as hell is easier than taking on the world at deity and a game lasts slightly less than a couple of lifetimes as well.
Not to detract from your success, but have you looked at Paul's Guide to OCC? It really is an invaluable resource.
Good civin'

I only play Deity.
The game version is Ultimate Classic (same as MGE).

Took a peek at Paul's guide, but have still to find & try many little tricks. It's very different from more-city games, I still find myself wanting to build wonders such as the Pyramids!

Btw I had a very interesting random map (small), with a large inner sea I couldn't reach AND two separate oceans. Had to bribe a Barbarian ship to sail the southern one, which proved very useful.
More than one option for a starting location, too (rivers inland or small delta at the coast - which I took).
