I've read somewhere in this forum that you should edit the rules.txt and make all ai civs civilized rational perfectonist if I want to play a normal building&development game.after I altered the file and started to play after 5000 years with contact with only 2 civs i used the cheat menu and discovered that all civs has ~5 cities each. This change made the game very, ehhm, ehhm, cant find the word. u know what I mean, don't you? So the question is how do I need to change rules.txt to get a game where the AI doesnt use the ICS strategy, but also doesnt have only 5 cities after 300 turns? BuilderR |

Play MP But seriously... there really isn't much you can do. The AI just can't be toned down, and still agressively expand. It's one or the other |

I've found the answer.Civilized rational expansionist. they build cities but they use them smartly and mostly not to only military causes. BuilderR edit : spelling mistakes [This message has been edited by BuilderR (edited August 13, 2000).] | |
