Where can i get good maps (not scenarios) for building large and powerful empires? I mean maps that allows to get high ratings and population.

I have made one myself, it is not avaliable on internet but if you e-mail me at petter.fjellheim@maris.no i will send it to you.

i usually play on deity, so it is preferreble that the maps is made for that level

I think any resource-rich normal to large map with mostly land will do it. Several people have played my nystate map (available here at apolyton) which has alot of specials and grassland/forest/river/lake squares. All 7 civs will start strong and get stronger throughout the game at deity (unless they get clobbered ). Fewer civs will allow even more growth and expansion.

Have you looked through the large Civ2 map database at Apolyton itself: http://apolyton.net/civ2/

I can put your map on my webpage if you want me too. Just attach it to an e-mail to cornmaster@xoommail.com with a description and I'll add it right away.
