I was playing a rather dull cheating game (created a map for my own civilization and kept all others on a barren, inescapable continent) when I got sick of telling Engs what to do - so I pressed "k" and got them to do their own stuff.I've never really been impressed with the results. I want them to turn deserts into grasslands with Railroad, but they tended to simply irrigate, make some roads, and go away. Is there any way of getting settlers/engineers to do what you want them to do? Or is this one of the goals of Civ 3? ------------------ "I have found you can find happiness in slavery" neilinoz@hotmail.com

Automated settlers/engineers are just stupid. You're better off controlling them manually. |

Automated settlers... HA HA HA HA!The only thing they are good for is to irrigate squares with no access to water. But some would consider this a cheat
