What files? - IIRC Win 2000 is a 'replacement' for Win NT which makes it pure 32 bit - I rather doubt that a game as old as Civ will manage to run...------------------ ____________ Scouse Git[1] "CARTAGO DELENDA EST" - Cato the Censor [This message has been edited by Scouse Gits (edited May 19, 2000).] |

I have Civ II MPG installed on my Windows 2000 system, it runs perfectly. I had no problems installing it and haven't had a single problem playing it. |

Just guessing: Try installing WinG first. Should be on the Civ2 CD. Or you might try rip it from MS' site: http://download.microsoft.com/download/platformsdk/wing/1/WIN98/EN-US/Wing10.exe C.

hi guys, I followed your hints but they didn't work. Finally I found the solution myself. I reinstalled civ in an older drive, second in my pc, with FAT32. It worked there, even under win 2000 OS. I hope everyone who wishes to play civ under 2000 has a second hard disk also!

You mean it won't work on W2K's version of NTFS? I've played it from NTFS (NT4) before. You sure you didn't just screw up the first install one way or the other?C. |
