Ladies and Gentlemen,I would like to say a short word, a thank you to all those have welcomed me with open arms. And also a hello to all of those i haven't yet had the pleasure of getting to know, but i will make sure that i do within my next 100 posts!!!  Anyway, i am planning to have a drink to celebrate this Friday, i was thinking we could go to Waxy O'Connors on Rupert Street, it's a great Irish pub. They do great Guinness and you get a fantastic atmosphere on a Friday night. I do hope you all can attend!!!!

Yes Oldman... There is a policy that you shouldn't start a thread in regards to your post count. It was done to keep the Off Topic Forums from being cluttered up with a bunch of people patting themselves on the back for their post count.So I guess I have to slap your wrist...
Slap... Slap... Slap... But, you didn't know the rule... The Strategy section isn't really cluttered... and you do post mostly (I think) on topic... Just don't do it again ------------------

Sorry Ming!!!!! I now feel very silly  but i won't do it again!!!! I do mostly post on topic, except for on Vengers and AH's threads, but that's mostly a childish inferiority complex thing i think i have?!?! You know the old saying your mothers used to say to you "If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all", which now brings me around to getting this topic - on topic!!! Of all the things in Civ 2 that go wrong, look silly or generally annoy me, i love them all still, cause it's a great game!!!! but the one thing i hate is when you at odds with someone and you want to threaten them, demand for 1000 gold or you'll crush them, so you call them up, and they demand money, and you say no cause you want to demand it, and they wage war and won't speak to you again?!!? argh, that drives me mad!!?!??! I mean if they can't say anything nice to you, why can't you say not very nice things to them!??!!? Hmm? now, i'm waffling... |

Oldman, that is why there are attack units in the game. I purposely try to get each of the civs to declare war on me so I can clobber them. I even accept their peace at times and then clobber them. BTW, I'll be playing my first OCC game this weekend, so I guess I'll have to learn to play nice for once. |

Hey Steve - it will be great fun to see you playing a nice game!! I have actually found that SG2 has started playing this one - so we may even have two logs to compare.
