Click Here.If it runs, let me know. This will solve many of our Java 2 problems, and allow us to prototype a lot faster, since we won't have to push out files. Let me know what happens from your end, how long it takes, any relevant info. |

It works, that is if we're only supposed to be able to move the sliders with no effect. (I've got IE 5, Win '98)So I guess we're in business. [This message has been edited by Toubabo_Koomi (edited September 27, 2000).] |

Yeah, it's purely a test app. Those sliders only exist in Java 2. Life just got a little bit easier for us. |

It asked me to download and install the java2 1.3 plugin from sun. It is a 7,34MB file and the connection is at snail speed right now. So it will take me some time. 10%...(sigh ) |

Worked fine...It sent me to get the 1.3 plugin, took about 2 min to load and install (cable modem).

Edit: It loaded up fine, and I was able to move six sliders around. The vertical one in the middle wouldn't move; I don't know if it was supposed to.This would certainly be better than downloads. Thanks, F_Smith. [This message has been edited by Richard Bruns (edited September 27, 2000).] |

Yea!Yes, that one slider is 'disabled'. Those were just to test, anyway. So is everyone okay with using this method? Cool. We're on our way. The basic architecture is coded, altho it's laregely just a skeleton right now. Next we'll be going model-by-model, asking for 'test cases'. If you're a model lead, that's what we need you to be working on now. We need the 'pop model' test cases first, Richard. You're the man, when it comes to 'population' questions, so can you possibly write a few up? Then you can help everyone else write theirs . . . Thanks, all. |

Axi:I'm sorry, but this is probably the best possible choice, even with a slow connection. You should only have to download that once. I'm so spoiled with my cable modem, I don't even think about downloads anymore. |

It works in my computer too...This reminded me of the demo interface which was in the website. You know, the one with Homer Simpson in it. Unfortunately the link is broken now; it seems that Darren Mc Guicken has reclaimed the webspace it was in. This is another thing for you to update, Chris... |
