Please you this thread to request any updates to the website. The team list has already been updated, and I'm going to update the team listing on each model. Also, I'm going to put your file up, Richard. Anything else, please say. |

Well the poll on the tech model is defunct.I do have a slightly updated character model that could be posted there (after i slightly update it again as there now will not be any GWR/ER as far as coding level is concerned so that needs to be changed, but that's about it)...its not a priority though so don't feel rushed. |

Where are the tech spreadsheets? I can't find them. Also, axi's infrastructure model and spreadsheet should probably be posted. Speaking of axi, he isn't on the active members list. |

I took a personal oath not to get on that list until demo 5 is released.Chris: I could also send you my govtecon spreadsheet, but I'm afraid I don't have any coherent text to go with it. But maybe it can be put up simply with links from the govt and the econ model + a link to the "Government - Economic models interconnections" thread. It is rather a study than an actual model, but it is intersting material. It's nice to play with, at least. I can't send it now though, because my mail server is stuck. |

Something really odd happened with the spreadsheets. When I downloaded them, the grid showed up but all of the cells were blank. I could tell that there was something in them because the formulas appeared when I clicked on the cells. So I highlighted everything and went to the font editing box. The font was white for some reason, so I changed it all to black. Now I could see everything, but my red color coding was gone. But when I clicked "undo formatting," it went to the proper color scheme rather than going back to the white text. So the download was sucessful, aside from that odd glitch. I think it could be some kind of version conflict in Excel. Could someone help me figure out what is going on? By the way, the "Research" tab got out of order somehow. Oddly enough, it is in the correct place alphabetically for "Technology." That would be a better name for the link anyway. Chris, could you change the title of the link in the side frame from Research to Technology? Thanks. |

We've agreed that I should be an official part of the Clash TeamHere's my info Name: Henrik Rřgind MD University of Copenhagen 1990 PhD Medicine University of Copenhagen 2000 (hopefully) Ocupation: Research Fellow, Copenhagen University Hospital Clash goals: Great playability, possibility of creating historically acurate scenarios E-mail: hroegind@dadlnet.dk Comment: Unfortunately I cannot offer to code. I've done some visual basic programming (and a long time ago TurboPascal), and am thus a little schooled in OO thinking, but it is rudimentary. What I can primarily offer is a razorsharp mind with an eye for inconsistencies in design (which I guess you've all noticed by now). |

I think it would be good to combine all the glossaries and summaries and put them in a "Project Overview" page. I don't think we need specific links on the model pages, but it should be on the sidebar so it is accessable form every page. What does everyone else think? |

I have added the glossary for the Wonders & Achievement. Chris if your still model lead, you might want to check it over before posting and prob correct a few of my spelling mistakes. Also as far as the Character model is concerned, there will be no glossary for now because my revamped version changes the names of some stuff and in some cases what they do, as well as i plan on a revision with the new info some of you have given me for char ideas (if i didn't loose them ). Anyway when that occurs i will then post the glossary. |

I don't like to tell other people what to do, but here are a couple of suggestions for you Chris:1. Demo5: Update the demo 5 Central page. First take off the shameful 30/9 release date. Put the links to the active threads apart from the links to the inactive ones. Ask Mark or F_Smith for a summary of the current demo 5 plan and the features that are projected to be in; I think half of the Team doesn't know what it is (I don't). 2. Models: Put up the population model. Then put up the proposed infrastructure submodel. Ask Rodrigo about the updates of his models (one to the govt model and one to the riots model). Rearrange the models list (you can use the arrangement I proposed in the Overall Project Issues thread, or any other that we will agree upon in that thread). 3. Put up a page about the Beast: a brief description of what it does, the test cases and of course a link to F_Smith's page. You could also offer to update this page for him (since it is also a little bit out of date). 4. Other items: Put up all the spreadsheets we have, with links from each related model and also from a central downloads page. I am referring to the files: govtecon2.xls (axi) Axi's infrastructure.xls (axi) Clash Econ v.11.xls (Mark_Everson) new govt model v2.xls (roquijad) PAFs.xls (roquijad) techsys2.xls (Richard Bruns) techchng.xls (Richard Bruns) Also put up Magnus's demo map tiles along with Paul Croecker's ones. As I have pointed in another thread, delete the link to Darren Mc Guicken's demo interface. It would be nice if we could restore it; I also would like to hear Mark's opinion, if it is still usable for Clash, or is outdated too. 5. Update all the team lead/member/coder stuff (I know you are currently doing that) and, most important, update the links to the relevant curent and older threads. 6. Update the website FAQ; all the stuff in there are now irrelevant. Change the links to the webmaster from Dom&Kull to yourself. Make a mirror of some vital stuff (f.e. the mil model, the beast code, the demo 4 and javadoc documentation), which are in other servers, into Apolyton (to prevent stuff from getting lost, lke the demo interface I mentioned above). Edit: I saw you've been working on some of the stuff I mentioned here; keep up the good work! [This message has been edited by axi (edited October 01, 2000).] |

Axi's post is IMO a very good list of things-to-do in the web site. If all the things in the list get implemented, we'll have a web site really up-to-date.They're a lot of work, but IMO it has to be done. Sadly for you, Chris, the web site needed a very deep update. We all know it's gonna take you time to do all that, so don't panic! We'll try to not push you much |

One reason why I want to change the website is that Kull and Dom's system is taking a while to figure out where pages are and what have also. Also, there seems to be a lot of redundent pages and out of date things, so you help me work out what is up-to-date, what needs to be changed and what can be discarded, that would be a great help. |
