I can get the demo to run fine, though every so often it does saysometing about negative pop. But anyway my main question is how do you scrool the detail map as I can't seem to see how, prehaps you could either add autoscrolling as Civ, or an RTS, or have slider bars on the sides of the screen.

Anyway keep up the good work.

Did you read the Manual? Of Course Not...

Right now you need to select a square and make it the new center using the 'x' key. So if you want to go north select one at the top edge and hit x.
