Okay, maybe not all civ players are enthused about history, but it is undeniably a huge factor in the game, in many ways. What can you add to the collective knowledge (or trivia) that might pique the interest of players? I'm thinking about non-anglicized city names, optional leaders, key events, and anything else that might add color to the game. For example, we all know Carthage by name. It was settled as Kart-Hadesh, which is "New Town" in Phoenecian. (Cartago Nova is thus Latin for "New New Town") Many other civs get added to scenarios. Is there a place we could add leader/city name lists for optional civs? Khmer, Iroquois, Meroe, Hittites, whoever. Or expand the lists of existing city names... Another element of scenarios that might be good to add to a library is units unique to different civs. |

and of course "kiryat chadash" in Hebrew. and neapolis in greek. Thus Naples (Italy) and Nablus (Palestinian Authority)(which was a greek colony in Samaria) And Annapolis (Maryland) with play on "Anna's town". Lord of the mark
