My record of Civ abstinence was 5 weeks. But that only lasted because I didn't have access to any computer, I'm afraid I may already have reached a permanent condition to which there is no cure...------------------ Mathias' Civ II Page http://members.nbci.com/thalys |

I can't say that I've ever kept track of that. Hendrik, congratulations. Admitting that you have a problem is the first step towards recovery.Do we award '30-day' coins for abstinence? ------------------ "Bonjour, you cheese-eatin' surrender-monkeys." |

Let's just say that it is a great advantage to my health that my computer breaks down in more or less regular intervals that allow me to recover... But I have to say it changes from time to time. Sometimes I don't play for weeks and then I'll spend the nights in front of the screen for days. School really helps limit the time that is available to waste so I hope that whereever I go to study they have not yet entered the information age and are still using the abacus to compute to compensate for the fact that I am still able to pass my exams... [edit] I must be crazy... ------------------ Mathias' Civ II Page http://members.nbci.com/thalys [This message has been edited by Hendrik the Great (edited February 14, 2001).] |

A few weeks. Something else will grab my attention for a while (My work, my women, a different game), but in the end I always return. ------------------ All knowledge begins with the phrase: I don't know. |

My PC was out of commission for two weeks, otherwise I would never give up Civ2 voluntarily.------------------ Nam si violandum est ius, regnandi gratia violandum est: aliis rebus pietatem colas |

Well, I bought Civ2 in '96, played it for over a year, then stopped for a while, and started again in 2000... I might have played short games now and then, but I'd guess that my record goes for about a year, maybe two... let's say 10-25 months. I really can't remember. Ha! Try beating that! |
