It may last days or months!

What's your civ detox. record? Mine is a couple of months

(strange detox. doesn't happen for Apolyton!)

My record of Civ abstinence was 5 weeks. But that only lasted because I didn't have access to any computer, I'm afraid I may already have reached a permanent condition to which there is no cure...

I can't say that I've ever kept track of that. Hendrik, congratulations. Admitting that you have a problem is the first step towards recovery.

Do we award '30-day' coins for abstinence?

Let's just say that it is a great advantage to my health that my computer breaks down in more or less regular intervals that allow me to recover...

But I have to say it changes from time to time. Sometimes I don't play for weeks and then I'll spend the nights in front of the screen for days.

School really helps limit the time that is available to waste so I hope that whereever I go to study they have not yet entered the information age and are still using the abacus to compute to compensate for the fact that I am still able to pass my exams...

[edit] I must be crazy...

A few weeks. Something else will grab my attention for a while (My work, my women, a different game), but in the end I always return.

My PC was out of commission for two weeks, otherwise I would never give up Civ2 voluntarily.

Well, I bought Civ2 in '96, played it for over a year, then stopped for a while, and started again in 2000... I might have played short games now and then, but I'd guess that my record goes for about a year, maybe two... let's say 10-25 months. I really can't remember.
Ha! Try beating that!

SG,
You are talking about Civ and not red wine, correct?

Now you mention it Skrobism my spaceship has started to resemble a bottle of claret...remember those "Saturn 5" rockets? !!!

ps - Hope you don't mind me asking, but where did you get the name "Skrobism"?

It sounds like a disease as in:
"that civver is down with the Skrobism"
