In a thread which has disappeared, I proposed a challenge to get to AC by 2020 with a setting of zero% for science for the whole game. I completed such a game, arriving in 1967. The science came from exchange, the great library, caravans, a super science city, and science specialists. The early part was exciting and interesting, and also a bit frustrating. As the game evolved, it turned out easiest to conquer most of the world, and just build up some big cities with scientists. The latter part was tedious, once the issue was in doubt. At the end, I was getting a new tech every two turns, even with zero science. This might still be a good challenge on a small world with more difficult terrain. |

Well, it still sounds like quite an achievement geofelt! Sounds interesting and challenging, I might have a go at it one of these days (haven't played in a while now). I'll let you know how it went. |

now why not trying to play WITHOUT ANY technological advance? What about finishing a game in AD 2020 with warriors and size 3 cities? | |
