Please don't hammer me for this, but I keep hearing about these really cool websites of people who have found tactics for the game (one that sticks out is the one about having a revolution that takes 1 turn to finish). Is there anyone who can tell me where to find some of these sites?

actually this IS the best place i know for tactics. check out the different forums, youŽll find what you are looking for.
btw. you can change your government with only one turn revolution if you revolt in the o in the xxxo cycle (every four turns). if you invent the new gouvernment-tech (not steal/dip) in the o-year you will have no revolution at all. this parameter was found by oedo, a member of the tribe of EUROPA. contact us, youŽll get a list of the "oedo-years"------------------

ruoxiaohai - Have a look at the Strategy Section for Civ2. At the top of the list of topics is The Great Library. This a compilation of wisdom about the game produced by posters on this site. There are links to all aspects of tactics and general information including a list of years when you can revolt without anarchy.---------- SG(2) |

By the way I 've taken a look at the GL and at some old threads (1999) and the thorough tests.
