Continuing my pointless and nosey surveys with what's your favorite scenario and why? Mine is Anciet empires #2 "Seeds of greatness-The early empires" by paul(KULL) cullivan. This great scenario has lots of new units, tech, and an excellent map of the near east and greece. It is also very instructional, as I used to show the interrelationships of the ancients to one another and also why most people never heard of the Hitties! So let me know your favs and why! |

I enjoy scenarios, but there are so many to chose from. Kull's scenarios are excellent. The American Civil War by Alex the Great & Capt. Nemo is a winner. Sometimes, though, I just wanna ditch the fancy stuff and wade into a scenario like the Long "19th Century" or Mattias Pitz' "Imperialism 1884," or "1650" by Markus Eklund. These are old, but good scens.Salutations, Exile ------------------ Lost in America "a freaking mastermind." --Stefu "or a very good liar." --Stefu |

I like 'East Wind, Rain' - I can't remember where I got it from, probably the scenario pack for CivII. It's a WWII Pacific scenario.I like it because it's a good challenge for me to play any of 4 civs in the scenario, which keeps me coming back to it. And it's probably the only Civ situation where I actually NEED to use Aircraft Carriers, and I NEED to use Marines for amphibious assaults. In standard Civ I never seem to build either. So, the variety is fun. STYOM |

Red Front can be found at: http://www.chat.ru/~kabalero/ And I agree about it being a great scenario. Another favourite of mine is Hellas by John Ellis. I like Collonies II and III too. [This message has been edited by Henrik (edited January 25, 2001).] |

Yeah, you'll definately need all of the downloads, Parts I,II and Sounds I,II,III. I have all of the original .zip files if you need them. Email is in the profile. Beware, Red Front is one tough cookie. Look in the Scenario League's forum for threads with hints on this one. You'll need them. |

Most enjoyed last year:Of Celts and Iberians by J.Balsinde (I love ancient scns) Riverwar by A.Höfelt (great race against the clock) Fading Lights by M.Czyz (very hard, Red Front in the Middle Ages) And I admired Nemoīs work with Red Front and Second Front, but since Iīm not a good player, they were rather frustrating for me without advice... ------------------ Civ2000 |

When and where will we see Imperium Romanun? If it's half as good as it looks, It could end up being number one here! |

At the moment, my favourite scenarios are "The Second World War" by B. Stein, which is a world scenario (most realistic and historically accurate IMHO) and "Total War" by David Ledgard, which is a upgraded and more realistic (IMHO) WW79 scenario. The are even Pro-Soviet and Pro-Western civs, which add a little real world flavour to the scenario.Vitmore |

My favorite scenario has to be the 1939 one. I'm not sure who it is by, but this one keeps me coming back every time. The best thing is to play it on hotseat and fight all of your friends as the different nations, fun stuff. |
