HELP! I have seen similar questions before but no constructive answer so far. I live in Poland and Civ2 is not available for purchase here. I lost my old Civ2 installation (due to system failure) and want to buy a new copy (preferably Gold edition). I tried many Internet shops in the US but none of them ships to my location. Is there a site I can purchase a download from? Please help me as I am a Civ2 addict and cannot live without it!!! |

Try ebay.com . They sell just about anything. A quick search for "civilization II" yielded 48 items. |

Thanks again! I quote from Amazon.com: "Shipping Terms: Buyer pays. Will not ship internationally". This is why I am asking for help... |

Try here. There's a section for e-commerce. [This message has been edited by Prometeus (edited January 18, 2001).] |

First I'll say that yes I am a silly American with little real knowledge of how the rest of the world works...Now then, couldn't you just have someone go buy it at a store and send it to you? Then you just send them payment? Maybe in the form of trade if currency exchange is a problem. Considering that the game is so cheap anymore, there isn't much of a risk of being 'taken'. I'd even be willing to try to find a copy of the game for you, I'm pretty sure I've recently still seen it for sale at Best Buy and other places. Or is there some kind of law(s) that make this difficult/impossible? Albert B

Actually ebay doesn't ship anything. They provide a marketplace for buyers and sellers. A quick look at some of the items reveals that several of the sellers do ship overseas. Here's one that does. |

SCrew the laws. Hell if I could do it I would. But since CIV 2 is not in the stores anymore I'd have to order it. Then wait for it to get here. Then send it to Poland. JerzyP would have killed himself by then for waiting so long Plus I don't think there are any laws forbidding it. US - EU (Poland in it soon) commercial grunge is over bananas and beef (one copy of civ is not expoitable commercially. I think it is considered «personal» property (for lack of any better words in my english vocabulary). Chips & Bits (http://www.cdmag.com/cgi-bin/order.cbi_home) ships internationally (at least they did the last time I checked). Also, you might try amazon.co.uk... |
