What's the highest number of science beakers you've had in a city?

1100-1200 (could've been as high as 1400). I remember hearing some people saying over 1600 before; that must be rather difficult! and lucky for that matter, I am sure you would need an amazing city to trade with.

Well... In a SSC I can generally hit 1000 before the Colossus expires. Especially if I have a Research Lab or the SETI built. But isn't the number of beakers in a city based on your science rate, anyway? I don't think I've ever set my science above 70% in a democracy, but if I could manage more than 70, wouldn't the beaker total be higher? Can anyone confirm?

And to SandMonkey: Yep, my best science cities always were from games in which there were a few large Babylonian cities overseas for me to send caravans to

Yes, in OCC games I sometimes set my science to 100% to get the optimum research speed. This will of course get more beakers than 70%. I don't remember my highest number of beakers, but it must have been over 1,200 in some of my OCC games.

Beakers... I hate beakers!!!
I hate them so much that I changed science beakers icons into chinese ideograms once... and the highest number was 800 ( i prefer to steal techs instead of researching them... )

Ok, I cheated again (ctrl+k - not rules.txt changes or anything like that)

This time I got:
2640 science beakers
282 trade icons
3 trade routes each +52 which I think is max
Production 110 which is also max...

Here's a link if you'd like to see the city.

Edit: spelling

I once built an SSC on a city that was only missing two river tiles and had grapes and gems in the radius, I don't know how high it got as it was ages ago but I certainly won the game.

I used the map editor and made all the city squares into rivers. I had no specials.

Maybe you had more science beakers because of the specials? Although I am inclined to think that 2640 is maximum...

The highest trade bonus I got was 4243 gold/beakers. I am sure it is possible to get more. The commodity was dye.
