AARRGGHH!! I could cry!!! My brother-in-law is over last night finishing up a game he's been playing on my PC for the last 3 months. He finishes and the Hall Of Fame list is displayed. It shows my top five finishes accomplished over the last year and a half and his just completed game in the sixth slot. I say "Don't hit clear." Any guesses on which button he hits??? AARRGGHH!! Now, his is the only score in the Hall Of Fame!! Now, about that gun... ------------------ Frodo lives! |

Deletion of the "hallfame.dat" file in your civ folder seems like a solution... |

Was your other solution to hit 'CNTL/ALT/DELETE'? Wouldn't deleting the .dat file simply either accomplish nearly the same as the 'clear' button or, worse, remove a file that I require for future playing? And Andz83, he's 50 years old. You'd think he'd know better, huh? ------------------ Frodo lives! |

Nope, all that's happening is that the HoF becomes totally empty. When you start a new game a new .dat file will be created, with only your new entrance... |

kcbob - if you have any save files from your old games, you can just load them up and retire to put your scores back into the hall of fame. Or, download some really high scores from Apolyton . |

yeah I always save the game just before I hit enter when my spaceship is to arrive. Not really for a event such as this. But in case I ever want to look at my sprawling empire. I have one nuke game where I just used nukes over and over. nearly everything was desert or jungle with pollution on top of it. Nice to look at |

Update.Per DaveV's suggestion, I've been able to get two of the scores back. I'm still looking for the other five. I guess this means that at this point, all I can do is wing him. ------------------ Frodo lives! |
