I have long since bought MPG. I have now gone to Germany for some time. Problem is I forgot the CD for MPG. Does anyone know if the german version of the game CD will allow me to play in English or act as the required CD for the American version installed on my laptop? If I have to I am sure I can play the game in German but would prefer the option. thanks chris |

You can get a CD-check disabler. I use this all the time. E-mail or ICQ me and I'll send it to you.------------------ "I'm too out of shape for a long fight so I'll have to kill you fast" Administrator of the CornEmpire Forum My Civ 2 Scenario Page. |

The game must require only certain core multiplayer requirements to run b/c I have used the regular civ II cd and the Fantastic Worlds cd to boot and the game runs just fine. ------------------ Apolyton Empress "We sit outside and argue all night long, about a God we've never seen but never fails to side with me" --primitive radio gods My first Web Page Vacation Pics! |

Actually, I've even used the ToT CD for MPG and I get the ToT music! We set up a mini-network at home here and would like to play one another. We can start it on one machine, take the CD out, then start it on the other... but it's a pain. If you still had the "patch", could you email it to me ? I sent you an email also... see this is an old forum. Thanks

If you have the English version on your HD then you play in English. You are using the files in the support folder.note: there are German and French in there. The cd contains the multimedia. If you had done a large installation then you would not need the CD.You could stick Led Zep in there instead. |

I'm not sure how this fits, but I was playing civ 2 yesterday, then minimized it to have a look at a Linux CD. Went back to playing the game, and only found out, some hours later, when I went to shut down, that I still had the Linux disk in. Jim W |
