MWBMC - My Wife's Beating Me at Civ!!!  Here, after a year, or so, of begging her to try Civ, she finally gives in and plays a Hot Seat game. I graciously show her the ropes and what to I get for my troubles? ELEPHANTS IN MY CITES! Hmmph. Next time I'll tell her that you can only attack cities with little walls around them!  ------------------

Explain to her that using Elephants as ground units is a "cheat" because they are actually air units (Dumbo's) and she needs to build an Airport first. |

That's what you get for using a Mac  Seriously though, just tell her that only certain civilizations should build elephants to keep historical accuracy. And no, it doesn't matter what civ she's playing, it's the wrong one  |

All's fair in love and war as they say...So you could go to the rules.txt(?) file and change the attack strength of the elephant to egual that of a warrior, but I guess that would be a bit too cruel, or...? |

Hey Macuser, Just be thankful you're other half can use a PC!!!! At least you don't get lumbered with every single alteration to any word document like CV's, letters, etc and don't even get me started on excel?!?!?!?! |

See, I knew that there was more creative energy to tap with this topic! BTW, she is now learning that even elephants have a hard time against city walls/barracks. You made a bad tactical error, MacUser. You let her play the real game. I introduced my wife to the Tutorial session, in which nothing ever goes wrong. After a couple of hours she decided it was dead boring and left me to it. ------------------
